Practical magnetic pads that provide holding and hanging solutions where aesthetics are not the primary concern.
Magpads are primarily used within industrial locations such as factories and warehousing and also for vehicle roof signs.
Our Magpads are created by backing a steel plate with resin-encased ferrite magnets to provide a high holding strength and provide substantial resistance to shear forces. This makes ferrite magnetic pads an effective solution wherever a smooth ferrous surface is found and aesthetics are not the primary concern, such as industrial sites, warehouse environments and within vehicle roof signs. Rubber coating
The magnet on a stud fix magnetic mounting pad has a rubber coating to prevent it from scratching the non-ferromagnetic material it is attached to.
It also increases the amount of surface friction. The increased surface friction helps the magnet to grip the surface of the non-ferromagnetic material. This means it can hold larger objects than a standard magnet, such as a bar magnet.
The rubber used on the magnetic mounting pad is made of polyurethane, which is a type of polymer plastic. The rubber coating can become indented and torn.
When the magnet’s rubber coating becomes torn after a few years due to general wear and tear from outdoor exposure e.g. freezing conditions, the rubber will become very brittle. You can remove it with a pair of scissors and re-coat the magnet with some new rubber.
magnetic pads are accepted as being the best method for holding signs (Learner driver and taxi) on the roofs of cars, whether on the garage forecourt or driving around on the roads.
Make your own vehicle roof sings. Strong magnetic pads wth anti slip properties designed for use on vehicle roof signs and other fixing applications where an exeptionally strong hold is required.
We supply magpads with a choice of fixings or apertures, and we can make bespoke pads to suit specific applications and requirements.
Please note that, for the strongest magnetic hold and resistance to shear forces, we recommend using neopads.
